Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking an experienced NOC Supervisor to lead daily Network Operations Center activities, supervise staff across shifts, and drive incident response, ticketing, and monitoring improvements.

You will coordinate with Tier 2 and engineering teams, manage major incident bridges, and develop training programs while ensuring strong customer communications and service readiness.

Qualifications

• IPX networks and signaling (Sigtran).
• BGP routing and peering.
• VPN technologies and network interconnects.
• Network monitoring and observability platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, Word).
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Expertise in network operations and troubleshooting.
• Experience with incident management and escalation handling.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Experience in process improvement and automation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise NOC technicians and engineers across shifts.
• Assist with staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance oversight.
• Provide guidance and escalation support for complex technical issues.
• Lead major incident bridges as Incident Manager; coordinate cross-functional teams to restore services quickly.
• Author and deliver incident reports and internal communications; collaborate with Tier 2 and engineering teams for root cause resolution.
• Oversee trouble ticket lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and quality; handle escalations professionally.
• Maintain standards for ticket documentation and communication.
• Ensure effective use of monitoring tools (e.g., ARPS, Nagios, Netreo); oversee network health and service performance.
• Drive continuous improvement of monitoring capabilities and processes.
• Serve as SME in IPvX/Sigtran, BGP peering, VPNs; maintain centralized documentation; train staff; develop training programs for new technologies and customer integrations.
• Develop and maintain customer maintenance notification processes; manage distribution lists and templates; ensure timely communications during maintenance and incidents.
• Act as NOC representative in cross-functional projects; support new tools and platforms; coordinate with network planning for deployments.
• Design and implement automation tools and workflows to improve efficiency; maintain scripts/macros for tickets and changes; identify workflow improvements.
• Ensure onboarding readiness for new customers and services; verify documentation and contacts; coordinate with internal teams to close readiness gaps.
