Job summary

Commnet Broadband is seeking a Network Tech for its Network Operations Center in the United States. The role focuses on monitoring and troubleshooting core and access networks, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to quickly address service degradations.

The position requires the ability to pivot quickly, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to incident management while supporting field operations and customer engagements.

• Strong organizational and communication skills including proficiency with navigating multiple monitors and basic troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the backhaul network for service failures and degradation.
• Monitor RAN, fixed wireless components and VOIP for service failures and degradation.
• Engage with 3rd party utility providers or other internal teams to drive ticket resolution SLAs.
• Provide Tier 2 network technical support including ticket entry, service restoral and initial troubleshooting.
• Escalate to Tier 3 or other internal teams per documented entrance criteria.
• Provide Field Operations support and escalation for site visits ensuring technician safety and site health.
• Engage with Enterprise customers to ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
• Participates in the team’s on-call rotation and responds to network incidents outside of regular business hours.
