Job summary

Velocity is seeking Entry-level Data NOC Tier 1 Technicians to monitor, support, and troubleshoot customer networks in a 24/7/365 NOC environment. This remote role involves coordinating with on-site teams, carriers, and Tier 2 technicians to resolve broadband, WiFi, VoIP, and other network issues.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 1+ year IT support or networking experience, and a customer-service mindset. CompTIA Network+ is a plus but not required; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1+ year IT support, networking, or customer service experience.
• Entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+) are a plus but not required.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, alerts, tickets, and queues for issues.
• Troubleshoot basic to mid-level network problems.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in tickets.
• Coordinate with on-site staff, carriers, and internal teams.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 as needed.
• Support Tier 1 teammates and follow established processes.
