Job summary

NextLink Internet is seeking a NOC Technician in Hudson Oaks, TX to monitor and troubleshoot our IP network and telecom infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will handle fault analysis, escalation, and ticketing while coordinating with engineers, vendors and customers to resolve service-impacting incidents.

The role requires an AA or equivalent, hands-on experience with routers/switches, and SNMP; CCNA/Network+ is a plus. This is a full-time in-person position based in Hudson Oaks.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from one-year college or technical school, or two years related experience or training.
• Experience with routers and switches.
• SNMP experience, basic routing experience, basic wireless experience.
• Nice to have CCNA or Network+ (desirable, not required).

Responsibilities

• Monitor switching, digital, optical, wireless and related telecom equipment.
• Perform fault analysis, isolation and remediation.
• Maintain accurate records in tracking resources.
• Develop knowledge of NextLink Broadband products and services.
• Provide Single Point of Contact for high-risk & service-impacting events.
• Open and refer Trouble Tickets to appropriate support levels.
• Escalate network problems internally and externally.
• Interface with customers, engineers, vendors and technicians to resolve issues.
