Job summary

Socket Fiber, based in Missouri, seeks a Network Operations Center Technician to monitor our fiber network, troubleshoot FTTH services, and support business provisioning in a fast-paced, in-office environment.

The role involves monitoring alarms, performing initial troubleshooting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve outages and configure services for business customers. Prior NOC or telecom experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic networking concepts in English.
• Basic understanding of fiber-optic and PON/FTTH technologies.
• Ability to use network monitoring, ticketing, provisioning, and management systems.
• Basic troubleshooting using common network tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network management, alarms, and events.
• Monitor FTTH/PON infrastructure and related equipment.
• Assess network availability, latency, and utilization.
• Identify and respond to outages and alarms.
• Document and track incidents per NOC procedures.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and scope impact of events.
• Assist with provisioning and activation of business services.
