Job summary

Leidos is seeking a reliable NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Center. You will monitor real-time network performance, triage alerts, and troubleshoot routing and hardware issues to ensure high availability and performance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in a NOC or IT Help Desk, or 5+ years of equivalent experience; TS/SCI with poly is required. The role involves day shifts (12-hour coverage) and on-site work in the Chantilly/Reston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of hands-on NOC/IT Help Desk experience, or 5 years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Monitoring of network performance, server health, bandwidth, and core infrastructure.
• Incident Response: triage, troubleshoot, escalate, and inform leadership and O&M team.
• Troubleshooting & Resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity faults (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, servers).
• Escalation Management: document tickets and escalate to Tier 2/3 engineering.
• Maintenance & Patching during designated windows.
• Documentation & Reporting: update SOPs and shift logs.
