Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Network Engineer II to support the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center at Scott AFB, IL. You will execute network operations, assist with incident and change management, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure maximum network availability for DoD missions.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE), and an active DoD TS clearance. Experience with Cisco/Juniper and network monitoring tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Able to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Strong knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of customer circuits across optical/electro-optical multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during outages.
• Collaborate with customers, government agencies, and engineering tiers to maximize network availability.
• Monitor network alarms with platform management tools.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacement and software configurations.
• Document outages and resolutions using incident management applications.
• Identify and recommend resolutions leveraging knowledge of routers, switches, crypto devices, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, OTN, MPLS, SDH/SONET.
