Job summary

Leidos is seeking a reliable NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Center. You will monitor network performance, triage alerts, and troubleshoot routing and hardware issues to keep systems available and stable.

You will work with cross-functional IT teams, perform maintenance windows, and document actions in shift logs and SOPs. A TS/SCI clearance is required, with 12-hour per day shifts Monday through Friday in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
• CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification is preferred.
• 5 years of equivalent experience can substitute for degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Monitoring of network performance, server health, bandwidth, and core infrastructure using enterprise tools.
• Incident response: detect anomalies, triage severity, and escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity faults (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, servers).
• Document tickets thoroughly and escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2/3 engineering teams.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and security patch deployment during maintenance windows.
• Maintain shift logs, SOP updates, and generate network reports.
