Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced network engineer in Chantilly, VA to install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure. You will monitor LAN/WAN, document standards, and collaborate with senior engineers to maintain uptime, performance, and security. The role requires active TS/SCI with Poly and CCNA, plus a strong background in Cisco devices.

OCONUS travel and lab maintenance are part of the job, with a supportive team environment across CONUS/OCONUS sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years experience, or Master's with 6+ years; Doctorate may reduce requirement.
Active TS/SCI with Poly is required.
Active basic CCNA certification is required.
Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model.
Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco appliances.
Experience configuring/troubleshooting routing and switching, including routing protocols.
Experience writing scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, firewalls).
Monitor LAN & WAN and provide regular reporting.
Collaborate with Chief Engineer for optimization and task completion.
Ensure network uptime, performance, and security.
Document and enforce network standards; manage IP addressing schema.
Travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed, 50% travel to OCONUS location.
Maintain network lab in Chantilly, VA.
