Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Warehouse to lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring safe, accurate and timely receiving, storage and loading of products.

You will drive efficient operations through coaching, policy enforcement and performance reviews. Key responsibilities include implementing safety procedures, training staff, scheduling shifts, monitoring productivity, controlling costs, and maintaining inventory accuracy while adhering to HACCP and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset that ensures that every US Foods associate remains injury free, always.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through one-on-one coaching, training on policy and procedures, assisting in problem resolution when required, and leading by example.
• Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directing workforce to ensure efficient workflow.
• Direct and supervise the work and productivity of associates within the warehouse department.
• Lead and direct associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks.
• Monitor operational information, such as mis-picks and productivity reports, to ensure the entire shift meets rates and follows preferred methods.
• On day shift, designate dock locations for inbound carriers. Ensure product is stocked in appropriate location in accordance with food safety and FIFO processes & procedures.
• Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.
• Work with operations management team to identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in development of an action plan.
• Regularly inspect facility for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager as appropriate.
• Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements are followed.
• Effectively schedule working shifts by leveraging appropriate planning tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
