Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead a unionized outbound hourly team and manage receiving, storage, and loading. The role emphasizes safety, process discipline, and cost-conscious operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will coach associates, drive performance, and coordinate with the operations management team to ensure accurate orders and efficient workflows across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc).

Responsibilities

• Lead with safety mindset to maintain injury-free environment and drive safety training.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching and policy training.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity within the warehouse department.
• Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring; review performance and address gaps.
• Lead associates to achieve accurate orders and ensure proper staging for shipping/receiving.
• Monitor operational data and take corrective action to maintain rates and standards.
• Schedule shifts effectively using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Maintain facility safety and equipment, and ensure MSS/FSQA compliance.
• Identify inventory shrink sources and assist in cost-control improvements.
