Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a driven Fleet Manager/Supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships, optimize loads, and ensure service excellence for our customers.

You will collaborate with Dedicated Logistics Managers, interface with billing, safety, payroll and other departments, and help maintain a full board of drivers. A Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• 2–3 years fleet management or truckload logistics experience preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs.
• Partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, directions.
• Understand and adhere to customer service expectations and initiatives to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
