Job summary

East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Monitor Tech for per diem night shifts. The role involves indirect patient care, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and ensuring accurate documentation within Med/Surg/Telemetry units.

Ideal candidates hold a Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate, a current BLS certificate, and at least six months of healthcare or monitor technician experience. This on-site position supports the RN team in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician.

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepares and compiles records in Med/ Surg/ Telemetry.
• Orders supplies for the unit and prepares and completes each patient's chart for necessary forms needed on a daily basis.
• Able to assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.
