Job summary

Regency Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech to monitor patient rhythms and alarms across patient monitors. The role requires interpreting EKGs and ensuring timely alarm responses while coordinating with registered nurses.

Per diem schedule with 12-hour shifts is offered at our Oregon, OH location. Applicants with LPN, Licensed Paramedic, EMS, or EKG experience are welcome to apply; experience with telemetry and critical care monitoring is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Pass required competencies on education platform as required by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watch all monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed.
• Complete EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT, ST segment, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
