Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, OH is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem/PRN night shifts. You will collaborate with RN staff, maintain monitors, and participate in ongoing orientation. Part-time/per diem opportunities are available with potential for full-time advancement.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and ensure appropriate and timely responses to alarms.
• Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed.
• Observe all monitors assigned and respond promptly and appropriately.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
