Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, OH is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem/PRN day shifts. The role pays $23 per hour and requires monitoring patients, identifying rhythms, and maintaining monitor alarms to ensure timely responses.

The ideal candidate will monitor multiple telemetry streams, interpret EKGs, and collaborate with RNs. A high school diploma is preferred, with nursing-related training or LPN/RN exposure strongly considered.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Pass tests and competencies as required by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms continuously and respond promptly to all alarms.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms and artifact.
• Maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond as needed.
• Complete EKG interpretations including rate, PRI, QRS, QT, ST segments.
