Job summary

Regency Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician/Monitor Tech in Oregon, OH for per diem 12-hour shifts. You will monitor patient rhythms, identify lethal and artifact signals, and ensure alarms are active and appropriately addressed, coordinating with RNs for timely clinical decisions.

This role requires precise interpretation of EKGs and consistent documentation. Applicants with LPN, Licensed Paramedic, EMS, or EKG experience are welcome to apply; must complete an EKG class within 30 days of

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Watch and respond to all monitors and alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact.
• Maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed.
• Complete EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
