Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, OH is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem/PRN night shifts. You will monitor EKGs, respond to alarms, and interpret basic rhythms under RN supervision. Requires completing EKG class within 30 days and meeting competency tests.

Prior RN/LPN/paramedic background with EKG training is preferred. We offer an extensive orientation and potential for advancement within a large network.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Pass required competencies on education platform.
• Preferred background as LPN, Licensed Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and respond promptly to alarms.
• Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms.
• Continue observing all monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
