Job summary

Regency Hospital in Oregon, OH is seeking a Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech to monitor patient rhythms, respond to alarms, and support RN staff. Applicants with LPN, Licensed Paramedic, EMS, or EKG experience are welcome to apply.

Per diem, 12 hour shifts, $23.00 per hour with night/weekend differentials. Must complete EKG class within 30 days and pass required competencies; position may involve working at Sylvania and Oregon locations.

Qualifications

Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
LPN, Licensed Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training are eligible.

Responsibilities

Watch alarms continuously, identify rhythms, and respond promptly; maintain EKG monitor alarms.
Continuously observe all monitors and respond to alarms quickly and appropriately.
Complete EKG interpretations: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT, QTc, ST segment, rhythm; RN to validate.
Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
