Job summary

Trinity Youth Services in Apple Valley, California, is hiring a Night Team Support Worker to supervise foster youth aged 13–18 and support their trauma-informed growth.

You will work with a residential team, follow an individualized treatment plan, document incidents, and help youths build self-control while commuting as needed. Strong English communication and a commitment to safety are essential; a CA driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus one of: BA in Social Sciences or Child Development
• 1+ year experience in group home/STRTP or similar program
• Lived experience in child welfare/mental health/juvenile justice as consumer or caregiver
• Minimum 100 hours of relevant youth-work experience as mentor/coach/tutor/counselor
• Must be 21+ and pass physical, drug clearance, background and Child Abuse Index checks
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean DMV
• Interest in working with youth per CA Admin Code Title 22
• Clear English communication; bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain line-of-sight supervision of youth focusing on behavior, safety, and well-being
• Promote growth and development per individualized treatment plan
• Document behavioral problems, injuries, or accidents and provide reports as assigned
• Use trauma-informed interventions to redirect behavior and build self-control
• Drive a vehicle and transport youth when necessary
