Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store management professional to lead day-to-day operations and mentor team members in a dynamic retail environment. You will focus on staffing, hiring, and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding company standards.

You will drive sales, manage productivity, and ensure a safe, well-presented store during peak hours, with opportunities for advancement through Meijer's development programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information and make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve performance.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintain store appearance in line with prime shopping hours and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development for team members and promotions.
