Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise daily store operations. You will mentor staff, oversee staffing and hiring, and ensure excellent customer service while meeting sales and operational goals.

The role requires at least 2–3 years in retail and a minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity. Expect a fast-paced environment with focus on safety, teamwork, and Meijer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze data for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet sales and customer service goals.
• Handle staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Address disciplinary actions and promotion decisions when needed.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and maintain shrink in the department.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and consistent attendance.
• Provide exceptional, friendly service and maintain store standards.
