Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will scrub for multiple physicians, prepare the OR, and assist during procedures, ensuring sterile technique and efficient turnover.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of surgical technology with surgical technologist certification.
• Maintain AST membership and required educational units.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification every two years.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for all physicians in assigned service area with high quality evidentiary care.
• Prepare operating room by selecting case carts and verifying instruments.
• Assist in patient positioning, prepping, draping and instrument counts.
• Assist surgeon and team during procedures and adapt to emergencies as directed.
