Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operative teams in the operating room. You will scrub for physicians, prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, and assist with patient positioning and turnover of rooms. The role requires CST certification and ongoing BLS in good standing.

This is a full-time position in a 12-hour day shift with a non-exempt status. The final offer will reflect schedule hours and prorated compensation for part-time or reduced schedules.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of surgical technology with certification.
• Maintain current BLS certification every two years.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for required qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams during operative procedures in scrubbing for physicians in assigned services.
• Arrange and inventory sterile setup for operations.
• Position patients and prepare operating rooms; pass instruments and supplies.
• Support team during cases and respond to surgeon needs; monitor sterile field.
• Participate in turnover of operating rooms.
