Job summary

Baylor Medical Center PGA Parkway- Frisco is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 for the Labor & Delivery unit. This full-time, night-shift role supports the surgical team under RN supervision and ensures a safe, well-equipped operating room.

The candidate will scrub in, prepare/maintain instruments, perform counts, and assist with patient positioning and specimen handling, following infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited CST program.
• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.
• Must hold CST certification NBSTSA/NCCT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Discuss special needs with surgeon before surgery and scrub in.
• Prepare operative site and clipping as needed.
• Maintain instrument table in organized, sterile state.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments, equipment and supplies during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts per policy and procedures.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and specimen handling.
• Disassemble instruments and decontaminate post-case.
