Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery OR. The role requires readiness to assist the surgeon, maintain sterility, and provide patient care under RN supervision.

Education and experience requirements include a Surgical Technologist program graduate, or 1 year OR experience, or 3 years direct patient care in a clinical setting. BCLS on hire required; NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program.
• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist.
• 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and maintain sterile field; ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
