Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Part-time Shift Supervisor for the Emergency Interim Housing Felipe site in San Jose. You will supervise Resident Advocates, ensure safety, enforce guidelines, and support program operations.

The role involves staff coaching, incident reporting, organizing schedules, and coordinating with the Program Manager to meet service delivery standards. On-site duties require flexibility and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

AA degree or equivalent of 2 years of higher education, or 3 years field experience in social services.
Sensitivity to the needs of unhoused individuals and ability to work with diverse populations.
Experience working with unhoused populations and willingness to engage with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Direct Client Service (90%): supervise participant safety, care and program staff, ensure guideline compliance, manage incidents and reports.
Assist with staff recruitment, training, and scheduling to meet minimum shift coverage.
Oversee room bookings, inspections, and site cleanliness; support workshops and crisis response as needed.
Document services in HMIS within three business days and maintain confidentiality.
Represent HomeFirst professionally to volunteers, donors, and community partners.
