Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Shift Supervisor-Floater for Rue Ferrari/Bernal in San Jose, CA. This part-time, non-exempt role reports to the Program Manager and oversees Resident Advocates while ensuring safety and compliance with EIH guidelines.

The position focuses on direct client service, supervision of staff, and coordinating workshops and daily operations to maintain a welcoming, supportive environment for unhoused adults participating in Emergency Interim Housing.

Qualifications

• AA degree or 2 years of higher education or three years of field experience in social services.
• Sensitivity to the needs of unhoused individuals.
• Experience working with unhoused population.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and all ages and genders.

Responsibilities

• Direct Client Service: ensure service delivery standards are met.
• Care, safety and supervision of program participants, guests and staff.
• Enforce EIH guidelines and site rules.
• Assist with interviewing, recruiting and training staff.
• Ensure minimum staffing per shift is met.
• Develop incident reports and supervise staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of clients and agency information.

Skills
