Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. seeks a Superintendent 1 for the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to lead construction efforts for high-profile federal, local, and commercial projects.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and coordination across engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing all project phases, ensuring on-time delivery within budget, and maintaining quality standards while adhering to permits and regulations.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
• High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience
• 7+ years of progressive experience in installation, integration, and testing of electronic security projects valued at >$500k
• Experience managing security projects as PM/Superintendent/Foreman
• Experience with conduit/wiring, head end programming, and access control/video systems
• CPM scheduling proficiency and familiarity with project controls tools
• Ability to travel open to travel as required
• Flexible schedule incl. nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction from inception to completion
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery with high safety and quality standards
• Coordinate subcontractors, scheduling, site safety, and permit compliance
• Lead resource-loaded schedules and maintain project org chart
• Prepare Change Orders, RFIs, daily reports and ensure proper documentation
• Drive prefab process, develop prefab plans, manage pre-fabrication per schedule
• Perform safety plan compliance and daily ORM meetings
• Test and configure system components and test plans
• Communicate with GC, owner, and project teams regularly
• Attend weekly resource allocation meetings and manage labor/material/equipment
