Job summary

M.C. Dean in the United States seeks a Superintendent 1 in the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to oversee complex construction projects from inception to turnover, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across federal, local, and commercial clients.

Candidates must hold ACTIVE SECRET clearance (Top Secret eligibility), bring 7+ years in security-electronic systems, and be skilled in CPM scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field leadership.

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: ACTIVE SECRET Clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret is REQUIRED
Education: High School Diploma or GED with 10+ Years of Experience
At least seven (7) years of progressive experience in installation, integration, and testing of electronic security projects valued at more than $500k
Experience in the Security Industry
At least two (2) years' experience managing security projects as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Foreman
Experience installing conduit and wiring systems
Experience with head end programming and testing of Access Control and Video Management Systems
Common knowledge of basic Network Infrastructure
Experience working with management systems such as scheduling, job cost reports, estimating, safety, documentation requirements, and quality control.
Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and quarterly cash flow projections Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling method
Must have a history of completing projects under the estimated hours
Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, scheduling, site safety, permits and regulations, and communication with project stakeholders.
Lead and solve problems to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.
Develop building schedules with a 12+ week look ahead and maintain safety protocols.
Perform quality reviews of design documentation and evaluate constructability.
Manage material/labor planning and 4-week look ahead forecasts.
Support logistics planning and track project metrics (time/materials).
Ensure permits and inspections are identified and obtained before work.
