Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Superintendent 1 for its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to lead construction projects from inception to completion.

You will coordinate safety, permits, subcontractors, and schedule adherence across federal, local, and commercial customers with a focus on Lenel, Genetec, and Milestone integrations. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in security installations, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multi-discipline teams while maintaining quality and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience.
• 7+ years in installation, integration, and testing of electronic security projects valued >$500k.
• Experience in the Security Industry.
• At least 2 years managing security projects as PM, Superintendent, or Foreman.
• Experience with conduit and wiring systems.
• Experience with head end programming and testing of Access Control and Video Management Systems.
• Basic knowledge of Network Infrastructure.
• Experience with scheduling, job costs, estimating, safety, and QC.
• Ability to lead multiple disciplines and meet deadlines.
• Travel up to 25% and open to certifications in Access Control and Video Management Systems.
• CPM scheduling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, safety plans, and permits.
• Lead resource allocation, material planning, and daily accounting of time and materials.
• Maintain project documentation (change orders, RFIs, daily reports) and return to QC.
• Collaborate with engineers on prefab processes and schedules.
• Maintain successful communication with GC, owner, and stakeholders.
