Job summary

JLL is seeking a Stationary Engineer for the graveyard shift at the South San Francisco site. You will operate, maintain, and monitor building mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems and building automation, to ensure safe, energy-efficient operations for tenants.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial building operations, ability to read technical manuals and blueprints, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years operating & maintaining commercial building mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems and building automation.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically able to work in mechanical rooms, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; OSHA regs understood.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair boilers, heaters, pumps, valves and lines for steam and heated water.
• Maintain refrigerant systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves and lines controlling temperature.
• Operate pumps for brine and other refrigerants; manage water distribution systems.
• Maintain air compressors and related distribution lines, valves, and air control devices.
• Maintain gas distribution lines, valves, and controls.
• Maintain water filtration, piping, pumps and sprinkler systems.
• Operate and repair electrical motors, drives, and control systems (VFDs).
• Maintain life safety equipment and conduct testing support.
• Inventory control for parts and materials.
• Keep equipment rooms in good condition.
