Job summary

JLL in South San Francisco, CA is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain and monitor building mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems and building automation. This on-site role supports energy-efficient, safe tenant environments.

You will work a two-shift schedule with nights, ensuring reliable operation of pumps, valves, piping, life-safety and control systems while complying with safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining commercial building mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to work in mechanical rooms, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operation, maintenance and repair of boilers, pumps, valves and piping for steam and heated water.
• Maintenance of refrigerant systems, air conditioning, and related equipment.
• Repair of pumps, air compressors, and gas distribution lines.
• Maintenance of electrical motors, control systems, and VFDs.
• Inventory control for parts and materials.
• Maintenance of life safety equipment and building automation systems.
