Job summary

Facility Services Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC, and critical hospital-support systems in a mission-critical environment.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant boiler experience or completion of a technical/apprenticeship program, with knowledge of Direct Digital Building Control systems and boiler water treatment. This is a full-time, on-site position emphasizing safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating and maintaining power boilers or completing a recognized technical/apprenticeship with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Experience with automatic boiler controls and Direct Digital Building Control systems.
• Knowledge of boiler water testing and treatment.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in large facilities (healthcare/government) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and other critical facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor equipment performance using gauges, meters, and Direct Digital Building Control (DDBC) systems.
• Perform boiler water testing, treatment, and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to equipment alarms, service calls, and emergency maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with team members to keep facility systems operating at peak performance.
• Provide additional support for critical hospital systems, including medical gases and emergency power, when assigned.
