Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver for a night shift schedule (Sunday to Saturday with 1 day off weekly). Dispatch time typically around 7:00 p.m.

The role centers on transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and turning around to deliver full trailers, following DOT regulations and company safety guidelines. Average annual pay ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, with Doubles Endorsement required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks pre/post trip per DOT regulations.
• Inspects and ensures trailer load is secure and paperwork is complete.
• Drive tandem/tractor or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes.
• Deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations; return empty trailers to warehouse sites.
• Operate in accordance with company safety guidelines and DOT rules.
