Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver for night shifts (4pm–7pm) to move empty trailers to company yards and return full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem/tractor/trailer on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, ensuring proper load security, and maintaining logs in accordance with regulations. Requires 21+, CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, and a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement; 21+; clean MVR in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Inspect tractor/truck and trailer for safety and secure loads.
• Follow DOT rules and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Deliver full and empty trailers on schedule to designated yards.
• Complete hours-of-service logs and required paperwork.
• Maintain clean and organized tractor, dock area, and trailers.
