Job summary

Pine Street Inn in Boston is seeking a Guest Services Specialist to ensure a safe shelter environment and direct care for guests. The role focuses on responding to guest needs, facilitating housing pathways, and connecting guests to substance abuse, mental health, and medical resources.

Data entry into HMIS and adherence to agency policy are required. The position is 100% on-site at 363 Albany Street with Sunday-Thursday night schedule from 10:45pm to 7:15am.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid MA driver's license in good standing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to guests and respond to needs in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist with housing pathways by motivating guests to pursue housing opportunities.
• Connect guests to substance abuse, mental health and medical resources.
• Enter data into HMIS and document reports per agency policy.
• Make sound decisions and seek guidance from a supervisor when needed.
