Pine Street Inn Inc. in Jamaica Plain, MA is seeking a Relief Guest Services Specialist to support a safe shelter environment and directly care for guests on-site. The role focuses on responding to guest needs, helping move toward housing, and linking guests with housing, health, and other resources.

You will document in HMIS and seek supervision when decisions are complex. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in human services, and preferred bilingual

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid MA driver’s license in good standing is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field is required.
• Administering Narcan and CPR in a work setting preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction, recovery and mental illness preferred.
• Knowledge of issues pertaining to the homeless preferred.
• Knowledge of area resources preferred.

Responsabilidades

• The Relief Guest Services Specialist provides direct care for guests and responds to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists with developing and implementing a housing pathway by motivating guests to pursue housing and connecting them to resources.
• Helps guests connect with substance abuse, mental health and medical resources when shelter needs cannot be safely accommodated.
• Stays energized and focused under demanding conditions and enters data into the HMIS system per agency policy.
• Makes sound decisions and appropriately seeks guidance from a supervisor.
