Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders at our Saint Louis area facility. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• No prior experience required.
• RRT credential required by NBRC; PALS required for ER staff.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 10 lbs, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• ACLS is preferred; critical care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Perform duties as assigned.
