Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, following physician orders and consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness. You will serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

The role is based at 615 S New Ballas Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63141 with a night shift from 7 pm to 7:30 am. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered, plus eligibility for shift differential and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential awarded by NBRC. PALS required for ER personnel.
• ACLS preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Physical demands: push, pull and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
