Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff at our Saint Louis, MO location. You will follow physician orders, assess therapy effectiveness, and serve as a resource for the care team.

The role includes night shifts (7 pm–7:30 am) with shift differential and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000. Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved respiratory care program, an active RCP license, and NBRC-registered RRT

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• For co-workers in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.
• Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.
• ACLS is preferred.
• Critical care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
