Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night work in the Winston-Salem area. You will lead night crews on roadway and underground utility projects, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil supervision, DOT night-work experience, and the ability to read plans. A valid driver's license is required; NCDOT experience and OSHA 30 are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway/underground utility supervision
• Night work experience on DOT roadway or utility projects is required
• Ability to read plans and specifications and maintain quantities
• Willingness to work a heavy night schedule
• Valid driver's license; NCDOT project experience is a plus
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field-tracking software experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects
• Manage roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries
• Plan work and manage shifts to meet project schedules
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures during night work windows
• Coordinate with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers
• Track quantities and daily production; complete daily reports
• Coordinate handoffs with project manager and day shift
• Ensure project records and field documentation are accurate
