Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night work in the Winston-Salem area. You will lead night crews on highway, roadway and utility projects, coordinating schedules, safety, and inspections with NCDOT personnel.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil roadway/utility supervision, DOT night-work experience, and the ability to read plans and manage quantities. Applicants should be prepared for a heavy night schedule and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway/underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• Proven night work experience on DOT roadway or utility projects.
• Ability to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Ready to work a heavy night schedule and hold the project schedule shift to shift.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus; NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries; plan the work and shift the schedule.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside night work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with project manager and day side of the job.
