Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks a Roadway/Utility Superintendent for night shift work on heavy civil projects in Winston-Salem, NC. You will lead roadway and underground utility crews, coordinate subs, and ensure safety and compliance with NCDOT requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of DOT night-work supervision, reads plans and specs, and can manage traffic control and daily reports. Relocation to the Triad area is welcome for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility supervision.
• Proven night-work experience on DOT projects.
• Ability to read plans and specs and track quantities.
• Strong knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyJob or equivalent field-tracking software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries; plan and shift schedule to meet targets.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within night work windows.
• Work with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production; complete daily reports.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and day shift team.
