Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night shift work in Winston-Salem, NC. You will lead roadway and underground utility crews on NCDOT projects, coordinating schedules, safety, and daily reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil at superintendent or senior foreman level, DOT night work experience, and ability to read plans. Relocation to the Triad area or current resident is preferred; valid DL a must.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman level.
• Proven night work experience on DOT roadway or utility projects.
• Ability to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Valid driver's license required.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plus.
• Based in the Triad or willing to relocate to Winston-Salem area.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and shift the project schedule as needed.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved night work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and day side of the job.
