Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night work in the Winston-Salem area. You will lead night crews across roadway and underground utility projects, coordinating schedules, safety, and compliance with NCDOT standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy civil experience at superintendent or senior foreman level, DOT night-work experience, and the ability to read plans and manage quantities. Willingness to relocate to or be based in the Triad is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• Proven night work experience on DOT roadway or utility projects.
• Able to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Valid driver''s license.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• Based in the Triad or ready to relocate to Winston-Salem area.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries; plan the work and maintain the schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved night work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and day side of the job.
