Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nursery, ISCU, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery Resource Team on the Night Shift in Evanston/Highland Park. Per Diem positions with varied hours and weekend requirements support patient care across multiple hospitals.

Responsibilities include delivering safe nursing care for labor, delivery and postpartum patients, applying the nursing process, and guiding unlicensed staff to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Current professional nursing licensure in the State of IL required.
• Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification required (AHA).
• Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience in Nursery, Pediatrics, L&D or ISCU.
• Nursery, Pediatrics, L&D and/or ISCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the care plan.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience.
