Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum services at Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals in Illinois. Night shifts 1900–0730 or 2300–0730 with weekend/holiday requirements per level agreement; per diem hours vary by level (32–144 hrs per 6-week schedule).

Licensed RN in IL is required, NLN-accredited nursing education is expected, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is required. Minimum two years in acute care L&D/postpartum/ISCU is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing license required.
• Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification required (AHA).
• Minimum of two years' recent acute care experience in Labor and Delivery and/or ISCU.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care for labor/delivery and postpartum patients.
• Use nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Supervise/coordinate assigned unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Communicate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience.
