Job summary
NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nursery, ISCU, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery Resource Team on the Night Shift at Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals. Per Diem positions require availability for night hours and weekend/holiday coverage as per level agreement.
The role emphasizes independent nursing care, adherence to the nursing process, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate care for labor and delivery and postpartum
Qualifications
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required.
- NLN accredited school of nursing; BSN strongly preferred.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification required (AHA).
- Two years of recent acute care nursing experience in Nursery, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery or ISCU required.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients.
- Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience.
