Job summary

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing license required.
• NLN accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers required.
• 2 years labor and delivery or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care identifying interventions to achieve outcomes and evaluates progress.
• Performs patient assessment and collects health data from patient, family, and care team.
• Communicates plan of care to patient/family and documents data for the team.
• Provides patient and family teaching tailored to learning needs and cultural context.
• Collaborates with peers and physicians; reinforces clinical education.
• Supports a compassionate environment and assists with injections, venipuncture, IV management.
• Participates in performance improvement and nursing research; adheres to HIPAA.
• If skilled, conducts wound/ostomy/skin care rounds and monitors treatment efficacy.
